7.6 Conclusion
The Low Countries exercised a cultural effect on Prussia and the southern Baltic mostly in the later 16th and 17th century, and this influence varied according to time and place. In spite of that, the above text hopefully shows, with regard to two outstanding centers, that during the most successful decades, both parts of the Netherlands contributed much to shaping the historical and artistic tradition of this region of East-Central Europe, and that this contribution has been surprisingly rich and diversified.
